Randolph Earl Gould, Jr.,
Baxley/Savannah, Randolph Earl Gould, Jr., 86 died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Memorial University Medical Center following a short illness.
He was a native of Savannah, GA living in Baxley for the past six years. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during World War II and was retired from Savannah Electric and Power Company after 39 years of service.
He was known and loved by all as "PaPa". He loved Nascar, Braves games, and boiled crabs. Spending time with his family and reminiscing with old friends was his favorite pastime.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jo Annie Jewel Gould, daughters, Gloria Jean Gould, Earline Gould Deason and husband Bernie, Renee Gould Newsome and husband Shawn, grandsons, Jimmy Deason, Scott Deason, and Patrick Brunson, three great-grandchildren and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, July 18, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Burial will be private.
The family asks that remembrances be sent to the American Heart Association or a charity of choice.
